Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information icoopintel.com ("the Service") handles. The Service is operated by Uldis Lazdins, an individual based in Pennsylvania, USA ("we", "us"). We keep it simple because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Account details, only if you have an account: your username, your email address if you gave one, and your password (stored in scrambled form, never readable by us).
- Things you submit in invited areas, such as forecasts you enter.
- Technical logs: when you visit, our servers and our hosting provider record technical details such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time. We use them to keep the Service secure and working.
- Messages you send to us by email.
- Alert settings, if you turn on phone alerts: a private address that your phone's push service (Apple, Google or Mozilla) gives us, the encryption keys that go with it, and the markets you follow. We do not learn your name or phone number.
Cookies and local storage
We use only what the Service needs: a sign-in (session) cookie, a security (CSRF) cookie, and your browser's local storage to remember chart choices such as the time range you picked. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. If that changes, we will update this page first. If you turn on phone alerts, a small background script (a service worker) is stored in your browser so it can receive them.
How we use it
To run the Service, keep it secure, answer your messages, and improve it. We do not sell your information and do not use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
We use service providers to run the Service, including a hosting and database provider (Render) and our domain and email provider (Namecheap). They process data on our behalf. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. Phone alerts are delivered, in encrypted form, through your phone's push service (Apple, Google or Mozilla).
How long we keep it
Account details are kept while your account exists. Technical logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted. You can ask us to delete your account.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional legal rights. Write to privacy@icoopintel.com and we will respond.
Children
The Service is for adults and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
We use HTTPS and standard protections, but no system is perfectly secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version.
