Where the numbers come from
Every figure is taken from a regulator's own public release, such as state lottery commissions, gaming control boards and iGaming Ontario. We check each file automatically and refuse to import numbers that fail basic sanity checks. When a regulator revises a past month, we keep the earlier version and show the latest one.
What the numbers mean
Regulators define revenue differently from one another. Each market's page has a "What does this number mean?" section that explains exactly which figure we show and how it is calculated. Comparing markets directly can therefore be misleading.
How the forecast is made
A statistical model (exponential smoothing with a damped trend and a yearly seasonal pattern) is fitted to up to five years of published monthly figures. Growth is kept in line with each market's recent trend. The shaded range covers 8 in 10 simulated outcomes. It is an estimate, not a prediction you can rely on.
Not advice, not affiliated
